NOTICE OF SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

Notice is hereby given that a Special Called Meeting of the Graham County Board of Education will be held as follows:

DATE: Monday, December 9th, 2024

TIME: 9 A.M.

PLACE: GRAHAM COUNTY SCHOOLS

Administrative Offices / Board Room

52 Moose Branch Road

Robbinsville, North Carolina 28771

PURPOSE: The purpose of this special meeting is to tour existing and potential school facilities and real property, and then to discuss the potential acquisition of real property in closed session pursuant to Section 143-318.11(a)(3) and (5) of the General Statutes of North Carolina, to discuss matters protected by the attorney-client privilege, and to instruct the Board’s employees and agents concerning the terms of acquisition of real property.

The Board will call to order in the board room, then travel to one or more school sites before returning to the board room. Once reconvened at the board room, the Board will go into closed session for the reasons stated above. Immediately following the closed session, the Board intends to return to open session and to adjourn. No Board action is anticipated.
