Driver Education Information

  • The next Driver Education Classes will be on December 14th (Wednesday) @ 3:30 and/or December 17th (Saturday) @ 8:00 am in the Commons Area at Robbinsville High School.

  • ONLY HAVE TO ATTEND ONE OF THE CLASSES (AND PASS)

  • STUDENTS MUST BRING THEIR CHROME BOOKS (IF HOMESCHOOL WE WILL PROVIDE THEM WITH A CHROMEBOOK)


TO SIGN UP YOU MUST DO THE FOLLOWING:

  1. BE 14 ½ YEARS OLD

  2. A PARENT/GUARDIAN MUST TO GO TO THE GRAHAM COUNTY SCHOOLS CENTRAL (ADMINISTRATIVE) OFFICE LOCATED ACROSS THE PARKING LOT FROM ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OFFICE AND FILL OUT A RESTRICTED PERMIT FORM.

  3. THE PARENT/GUARDIAN MUST PAY A ONE TIME FEE OF $65 WHILE SIGNING UP at CENTRAL (ADMINISTRATIVE) OFFICE

  4. THE DRIVER EDUCATION STUDY GUIDE IS ON THE GCS WEBSITE UNDER THE PARENT RESOURCES LINK/TAB

  • If you are retaking the class you do not have to pay again nor sign up, just show up on day of class.

Ms. Keener’s Economics and Personal Finance Classes are studying careers.

They were honored to welcome NC State Trooper Johnathan Jones. Mr. Jones shared the requirements to apply, and answered questions.

Sherry Williams

Sherry Williams loves living and working in Western North Carolina. Before she began her teaching career at Robbinsville High School, Sherry wore many hats, some including working as a secretary at a local construction company, selling real estate for several years, and treasurer and vacation bible school director at Mountain Creek Baptist Church. Now, after school and summer break, she can be found at Robbinsville City Tire where she completes NC Automotive Safety Inspections, changes tires, and manages the office.

She graduated from Robbinsville High School in 1978 and from Western Carolina University in 1990. Sherry began teaching at Robbinsville High School in the fall of 1990. She has taught most of the business classes over her career. For the last several years she has focused on computer related classes like Multimedia and Webpage Design, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Adobe Visual Design, and Adobe Video Design. Sherry also taught the yearbook class for over 10 years. Sherry is a National Board-Certified Teacher. She has been the RHS Teacher of the Year and the Graham County Schools Teacher of the Year. Sherry serves on the CTE Business Advisory Board and the RHS Scholarship Committee.

Sherry Williams is a native of Graham County and loves living in Robbinsville. Sherry is very proud to be part of the staff at Robbinsville High School. The staff works well together and truly cares about the best interest of the students. As a teacher, she said, “It has always been very exciting and rewarding to hear from former students who reach out to let her know that she made a difference in their lives.” In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking pictures, traveling, watching football and movies, mowing and weed eating, hiking, gardening, riding ATVs, and participating in other outdoor activities.
